1 cup of Baby Bella mushrooms 2 cups of cooked chickpeas (garbanzo beans) 2 tsp onion powder 2 tsp sea salt 2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp basil 1/2 cup cilantro 1/4 cup garbanzo bean (chickpea) flour 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper 1/2 cup bell peppers 1/2 cup onions Grapeseed oil (reserve for sautéing in the pan)
Place the all ingredients (except Grapeseed oil) into a food processor, then pulse until combined, but not smooth – you want to retain a bit of texture.
You can form the burgers with the mixture using a little extra chickpea flour and sauté them on medium heat until golden brown.
This recipe makes 7-8 burgers
